Jette Mogensen was born in 1974. She has a diploma and a soloist class education studying the organ; from the Royal Danish Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. Her organ teacher was Professor Bine Bryndorf. In addition to this, she has studied at Baroque specialist, conductor and Professor, Andrea Marcon in Venice/Treviso in Italy.

She was admitted into the soloist class of 2002 at the Royal Danish Music Conservatory, in professor Bine Bryndorfs Class. Jette Mogensen held a critically acclaimed debut concert in 2004, featuring both improvisations in traditional classical style, Swedish folk music and more rhythmical styles of music, beside works from Bach and Reger.

In 2005 a CD was released with improvisations over texts from H.C. Andersen where Jette Mogensen plays opposite the violinist Karen Humle.

J. Mogensen has been working as an organ player in Ordrup and in Frederiksberg Slotskirke.

JM experiments with improvisational music in various different styles, and is currently composing works in which the rhythmical elements are central.

Organ concerts for children have a high standing in Jette's heart. This is why she has acquired her own transportable organ and cembalo, called a claviorgan, since she aims to spread organ music to a wider audience.

“Jette Mogensen romped her way around the opportunities presented by the instruments with a fantasy few composed works allow for ... a vitality and enthusiasm... especially in the improvisations ... mixed rhythmical accompaniment and biting harmonies with melodic garlands in a varied interaction.

Jan Jacoby, Danish Newspaper Politiken November 2004
